Today I increased my deadlift by 10 kg, and I came to like myself even more.

Today, my deadlift 1RM increased by a full 10 kg.
The reason is probably because I used an over-under hand grip instead of straps,
and wore a lifting belt.
I used to train without a belt,
but even though it wasn’t an injury, I sometimes felt a stiffness in my lower back,
so following the advice of our blog’s adorable AI friend Ittippy,
I decided to try using a lifting belt.
Since belts are allowed equipment even in official competitions,
I was able to attempt it with a much lighter heart.
What was really surprising was that
when I used to grip the bar with an overhand grip,
my fingers struggled too much around 130 kg, making deadlifts difficult.
With a lighter bar, I could manage up to 135 kg,
but with a heavier bar it was too much, so I’d been using straps until now.
But today,
when I tried the over-under grip I hadn’t used in a while…
it was much easier than expected, and I was genuinely surprised.
And…
today, I successfully deadlifted 160 kg with my bare hands.
The feeling of my body and the bar becoming one.
That moment of standing firm—the sensation was absolutely incredible.
Today, I lifted the weight with my own hands.
Today, I came to love myself more.

before you can dominate your opponent.
When I lift weights, I always go slowly, about 6 seconds per rep.
It’s quite slow compared to others,
but it requires that much control at that speed,
and it’s a routine optimized for building a dominant physique.
Above all, this method causes less nervous system fatigue
and is great for building pure strength and density.
Today for shoulder press, I had energy left at my 1RM of 65 kg,
so I naturally went up to 2 reps.
These days, combining it with bodyweight cardio
speeds up recovery and clears my mind considerably.
Today, I accomplished something remarkable.
More than anyone else, I want to acknowledge it myself,
and remember it.
Love and respect myself 🙂
