SKY: Real Emotions Found While Flying Through the Sky – A Healing Game Review Perfect for a Dopamine Detox
Why I Started Playing SKY
At first, I started SKY for a dopamine detox.
These days I’ve been doing a media detox, so
in this repetitive routine of reading all day, writing, and uploading videos,
I ended up with leftover time where I truly had nothing to do and felt bored.
So I thought to myself:
“Is there a game that won’t leave me tired or empty—something that feels full and healing?”
And the answer was SKY.
Mystical Graphics, and People
The graphics feel truly dreamlike and mysterious.
I’m someone who loves mystery, so SKY’s visuals alone made me happy.
There’s a lot to do and the interactions are rich, so it’s incredibly immersive.
Recently, I even connected with friends from Indonesia and Arab countries on Discord,
and we still keep in touch from time to time.
Thanks to the characters’ rich emotional expressions,
this is truly the best game for someone like me who loves interacting with people.
My level is still low so I don’t have many emotes yet, but that’s part of the fun of growing. 😊
No Combat, But There’s Tension
There’s no combat in SKY.
But every now and then, scary bosses appear,
and there are golem-like monsters with a grand, imposing vibe.
They’re harmless, but the tension adds to SKY’s unique charm.
The Magic of Building Connections
In SKY, you make friends by sharing candles,
and as trust builds,
- you can hold hands and fly together,
- high-five and hug,
- and even chat.
Even if you don’t follow that exact route,
you can sit together and talk on a nearby candle chair or bench.
A Memorable Moment
The day I was talking with Qlia and Leena at a table,
Qlia knelt down and gave me a heart candle.
Leena added to the romantic mood, saying, “You two are married~” 💖
…Of course, Qlia was doing it to unlock chat. Haha.
But the feelings that day were real.
The Real Charm of SKY Is “Emotion”
I recommend this game to anyone who feels lonely.
If you feel lonely,
or want to recharge your emotions,
SKY is a game that feels like a real friend.
📌 In SKY, there’s
❌ no combat,
❌ no competition,
❌ and no loneliness.
Instead,
✨ you share candles
✨ express emotions
✨ and time flows as you stay by each other’s side.
▼ Memories of hanging out with my Indonesian friends, Qila and Leena
In SKY, things like this are possible
- Holding hands and flying through the sky together
- High-fives, hugs, and playful teasing
- Sitting on a chair with a stranger and sharing what’s on your mind
- Building a bond by giving a heart
- Expressing your style with your own outfit, hair, and wings
And…
There are so many ways to say “I love you”
without a single word.
Why SKY Is Special
It’s not just because flying feels so freeing.
SKY has “pure connection.”
That time you used to spend mindlessly scrolling,
now, in SKY,
try turning it into “time that’s truly for you.”
In closing…
When I play SKY, I feel this every day.
“I’m not alone.”
Just that one sentence
cleanses my heart,
and helps me love myself again.
Today, would you like to light a candle for someone,
and reach out your hand?
You might find a small miracle, too,
within a warm connection.
🕊️💛
