This morning, another low-frequency email landed in my inbox. It was from Cloudways. It was a response to an inquiry I’d left months ago about a server outage… but instead of a solution, it was closer to a one-sided notification.

Even though I’ve already deleted my account, forced a refund through my card company, and kept blocking their emails, they persistently keep sending spam. My experience with Cloudways looked good at first, but the reality was different.

• Mechanical customer support: A complex system that doesn’t work even with AI collaboration, and responses so mechanical you’d question whether they were from actual people.
• A 7-hour server outage: Even three hours after the server went down, all I got was the same frog-like response: “We’ve created a ticket and a representative is looking into it.”
