[ROAD FC] A Fight with YouTube Channels on the Line: Yoon Hyung-bin vs. Banzz Match Review
In the spring of 2025, two people faced each other with their YouTube channels at stake.
‘The loser deletes their channel.’
A single sentence. A single moment of truth.
📅 Weigh-In & Match Date
- Weigh-In Date: June 28, 2025
- Match Date: June 28, 2025
Banzz vs. Yoon Hyung-bin MMA match
Both fighters successfully made weight at the 79 kg contracted weight class.
Banzz weighed in at approximately 75.8 kg, and Yoon Hyung-bin at 78.5 kg.
🍽️ Mukbang YouTuber, Banzz
I first learned about Banzz when I was in my early twenties.
It was truly… shocking.
How could someone eat that much food so deliciously, so quickly, and so cleanly?
Eating more than ten servings by himself…
Those unedited, single-take mukbang videos from back then still stick with me.
At the time, my stomach wasn’t exactly in great shape…
So I’d laugh and wonder, “Does he take digestive enzymes or something?” 😆
Someone whose eating alone made you happy
That’s the Banzz I remember.
Hearing recent news…
It sounds like there were difficulties running the YouTube channel.
But… I don’t think I need to know all those details.
I just want to remember the brightly smiling Banzz from back then.
🎤 And… From Comedian to Fighter, Yoon Hyung-bin
I first saw Yoon Hyung-bin…
when I was in middle school, watching ‘Gag Concert’ with my family every weekend.
“Ehei~”
“Jung Kyung-mi forever~!”
His ‘Wang Biho’ character back then…
was meant to be unlikable, but somehow endearing, a bit sad, and funny at the same time.
I remembered him as comedian Yoon Hyung-bin for a long time…
Then one day, I saw him not on TV, but… in the combat sports ring.
Early on, he even won a TKO victory against an overseas fighter,
and it was impressive to see him gradually walking the path of a serious fighter.
Especially during the preparation period for this match with Banzz…
I heard that he took a hard strike during training
and broke one of his front teeth.
When I heard that…
‘Wow… this person really put everything on the line for this match…’
That’s what I thought.
Recently, after a losing streak, I saw an interview where he blamed himself, saying “I’m just a comedian after all”…
But even that honesty felt admirable to me, as a human being.
🥊 Match Day, The Story of Two People
And then… the match finally began.
At the start, the moment Banzz threw the first kick,
I thought to myself, “Now it’s really beginning.”
But in that instant…
Yoon Hyung-bin’s right-hand straight
landed precisely on the chin.
In that brief moment, everything was decided.
Banzz fell backward… and the follow-up strikes that came after
The referee immediately stopped the fight.
Honestly, from the video angle alone, it’s hard to judge exactly how deep that straight went,
but the way he fell, the speed of his reaction afterward, and his movements following that
all suggest… it was clearly a moment with significant damage.
🧠 Victory in the Mental Game
What Yoon Hyung-bin showed in this fight was
something beyond technique.
Precisely… the psychological warfare and sense of timing that come from experience.
Standing firm, watching his opponent…
then at the most unexpected moment, one precise strike.
After the fight ended, when Banzz couldn’t get up right away…
there may have been a physical issue, but I felt there was psychological shock as well.
💭 And… My Small Thoughts
If it were me… in that situation, I think I would have attempted a single-leg takedown.
But that wasn’t Banzz’s style.
And even with a judo background, that kind of reaction inside the cage is really difficult.
This match felt less like ‘a standardized MMA fight’
and more like ‘a clash of emotion and will in the moment.’
🕊️ [June 30, 2025 Afternoon Update] Banzz’s YouTube Channel… A Final Goodbye
And… just a moment ago, I checked Banzz’s YouTube channel again.
Currently, the channel has only
a 1 minute 47 second video titled “Final Video” remaining.
2.05 million subscribers.
A channel that once had countless videos…
now has only one short video left.
The thumbnail read:
“Thank you for everything”
That single heartfelt sentence.
A channel that brought laughter and happiness to so many people for so long
is closing this way…
The thought made my heart heavy without realizing it.
Even as I write this…
the countless emotions and struggles Banzz must have gone through
I can’t even begin to imagine how heavy that weight was.
I just want to…
remember the Banzz from before, smiling brightly while filming mukbangs
for a long time.
Someone who takes on a challenge is beautiful in itself.
And… someone who gave their all until the very end
is, I believe… preparing for another beginning.
Closing Thoughts…
This is my personal reflection,
but more than the result of the match itself,
I thought ‘deleting the channel seems too harsh…’
That’s what I felt.
Entertaining everyone is great…
but I hope we live in a world where no one gets hurt too much in the process.
This review of the Banzz vs. Yoon Hyung-bin match
is written from my personal perspective.
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments too! 😊
