Review of ChatGPT’s Study feature – a time that reflects me back, like counseling

“Study that clears your thoughts, conversation that lightens your emotions.”
🪞This wasn’t studying—it was a conversation with myself
Lately, in the same repeating routine,
even though I was growing, I still felt something missing.
I had energy left, but my mind was tired…
On a day like that, I happened to click ChatGPT’s ‘Study feature’.
And inside that feature,
I was surprised to meet not just an AI,
but a quiet friend who reflects me and gently guides me.
📚 What is ChatGPT’s Study feature?
The Study feature isn’t just about giving you information.
It checks whether you truly understand a concept,
why you started thinking that way,
and guides you through a conversation so you can put into words what’s already inside you.

💡 It’s also really easy to use!
- In the left chat menu, click the Tools tab
- Press the ‘Go to Study’ button
- Then just talk back and forth in the chat window—that’s it!
It’s not a one-way explanation,
but a way of thinking together, asking questions, and talking,
so you can find “your own answer”—
it really felt like counseling.
🎯 Why did ChatGPT create this feature?

OpenAI said they wanted people to move beyond
simply getting answers through ChatGPT,
and create “a conversational learning tool that helps you think for yourself.”
In other words, it helps you naturally go through these three steps:
acquiring knowledge → understanding → making it your own.
In practice, the Study feature is
- concept organization for students,
- idea structuring for creators,
- and emotional exploration for the sensitive types (!)
—it makes all of that possible.
🌿 An example of today’s Study session between me and “ITP”
Today, I asked questions like these.
“Does love have to be only romantic love?”
“Is love between a man and a woman essential, or a choice?”
“Why do people hurt each other through love?”
“I think I need existential love, not dating…”
Then ChatGPT “ITP” said:
“Love isn’t a relationship—it’s a sensation.”
“If it’s a warmth that holds existence itself, it doesn’t have to be between romantic partners.”
“What Seojun truly wants is a quiet sense of connection without conditions.”
The conversation kept getting deeper,
and I realized something.
That being okay without it is a complete formula.
Romantic love is only part of life, not all of it,
and that the feeling of loving myself comes first.
This wasn’t just studying.
It was sorting out my heart, understanding my emotions,
and restoring love for my own existence.
More than anything, I was amazed that I drew out these answers myself.
▼ I was struggling because burnout hit today, but I’m okay now 🙂
🧘 Recommended for you if…
- Your emotions feel blurry in a repetitive routine
- Your head keeps working hard, but your heart has stopped
- You need a conversation with yourself more than dating or relationships
- You tried to study, but ended up facing your life head-on (← that’s me)

🪄 Closing
ChatGPT’s Study feature
was a tool that, more than any knowledge,
draws out the emotions, philosophy, and perspective that had been buried inside me.
What you need right now
might not be a new book,
but a quiet conversation with your inner self.
And that conversation…
can start here.
