How to register on Naver Place: A step-by-step guide (Car dealership registration)

The first step started at “Smart Place”

I recently started working as the Naver Place manager
for the Hyundai Motor Seo-Cheongju dealership.
That first step was registering on ‘Smart Place.’

It felt difficult at first, but
once I tried it, I found it quite intuitive, though there were some important points to keep in mind.

✅ How to register on Naver Place (Based on actual steps taken)

• Access Smart Place & Log in
  👉 Log in with your Naver ID.
  Go to Smart Place
  
• Click the ‘Register New Business’ button
  Click [Register New Business] shown below to get started.

• Registering the Business Type
  I searched for “Car Sales” and
  selected the ▶ Exhibition, Sales – General category.
  It’s best to enter accurate keywords when searching for your business type.

• Prepare Business Registration & Check Instructions
  Before registering, check the following details.
  • Prepare Business Registration Certificate
  • Important notes for Smart Place registration
  • Beware of smishing impersonating Naver
    Check Agree to all and move to the next step!

• Verify business with the registration certificate
  I chose ‘Verify with Business Registration Certificate’ and
  imported the business information by automatically scanning a photo of the certificate.
  This feature was surprisingly convenient!

• Check for duplicate businesses
  Since I had a separate ID registered previously,
  I clicked ‘Check for duplicate businesses’ and
  completed the registration separately through ‘Register New Business.’

💡 Key points I noticed while doing it myself

• When choosing a business type,
  entering accurate keywords is better for search matching than using a category that’s too broad.
• You need to take a clear photo of your business registration certificate for it to be recognized properly.
• If you manage multiple IDs, make sure to check for duplicate registrations!

Once you finish the registration process,
Naver will conduct a review before making a final approval decision. In my case, it was completed quickly. 🙂
