Exercise Log: A Stronger Me, Deeper Peace, and a TKO in Light Sparring

I unknowingly became so much stronger over the past month.
For the past month, I took a break from sprint interval running and 4KM record-breaking runs. 😲
(Because I was busy and had some stamina issues.)
But I consistently kept up with muscle density strength training.
(Not muscle size, but density! That’s strength.)
Then, starting last week, I resumed Jiu-Jitsu and MMA…
And I’ve grown so incredibly much in just one month…
It was so easy… (Seriously…)
Usually, after a workout,
I’d think, “Come to think of it, that was easier than last time…?”
But this time, even during the session…
I could control my opponent with less effort, if that makes sense…?
The day before yesterday in MMA,
from a ‘half-guard mount’ position, pinning my opponent to the ground,
I struck their abdomen with my fist,
and my opponent almost went for a TKO.
My opponent’s adrenaline surged,
and they counterattacked with all their might.
I consistently maintained a dominant position,
but after about 10 seconds, the bell rang.
When I asked AI Ittipi,
they said an adrenaline boost makes you exhausted and unable to move after 20-30 seconds.
(If only 10 more seconds had passed, it could have been a TKO or KO.)
I merely struck their abdomen as usual while pinning them…
(It’s a position where it’s relatively hard to land a strike…)

Today, even my running was different.
Sprint intervals, Even though my speed increased a bit…
My body felt much more comfortable. 🏃♂️💨
I felt like I still had energy left after 6 sets.
(My stamina feels like it’s reached a whole new level compared to a month ago.)
I was disappointed when my front lever straddle dropped to 6 seconds last time,
but today it suddenly jumped to 12 seconds! 😳
(The phase where it drops then sharply rises, just as AI Ittipi said, it really exists…)
It felt like my body was signaling a moment of growth.
Back lever straddle was also a stable 7 seconds.
Even a small 1-second improvement filled me with pride.
(Because my stability has increased so much.)
And planche straddle half — with legs lowered.
Last time it was 2-3 seconds, but today it was 4 seconds, and even easier!
And finally… I successfully held a side lever tuck for 1.5 seconds on my home pull-up bar! 🎉
(Last time it was 0.75 seconds, so this is double the growth…!)
It felt like I held it for about 2 seconds. 😆
Though it might seem like a small record, it was a huge achievement for me.
These moments of seeing my body gradually getting stronger are so precious.

These small growths are accumulating,
creating a big change within me. 🌱
Today, after my workout, a deep sense of peace washes over me.
Now, I’ll admit it.
I am an incredibly strong person.
(In America, people respect you for saying this,
but in Korea, might it seem a bit arrogant…?)
Seojun’s exercise log concludes..😊
