E-book Publishing Review: A Record of Bookk, Kmong, and My First Approval

The moment I saw the notification that the e-book review results were out, I stared blankly at the screen for a while, my fingertips gripping my phone tightly. The six characters ‘Approval Complete’ appeared clearly before my eyes, and I could only truly feel the joy after taking a deep breath. 😭

Actually, my first e-book didn’t start with Bookk; it began on Kmong. But as time passed, a different desire slowly grew in my heart. “I want to reach a few more people, a wider world, and go further.” That feeling eventually led me to Bookk.

The biggest reason for choosing Bookk was simple.
“Once approved, it’s automatically distributed to Yes24, Kyobo Book Centre, and Aladdin.”
This structure really resonated with me.
A system where opening the door to one platform leads to many others.
It felt like an expansion of relationships, a ripple of the heart, or something like that. 🤔✨
But reality wasn’t quite so romantic.
I really didn’t expect the e-book to be rejected at first.
The reason was a bit unfamiliar. It wasn’t because of the content.
It was because “there is no logo on the cover.” 🤦♂️

So I opened the cover file again and
quietly placed the ShinbiVerse logo I made myself on it.
In that moment, I realized something.
“Branding is, after all, the process of proving one’s identity.”
If it weren’t for that one rejection, I wouldn’t have given my logo a second thought.

The paper book review was a whole different world.
It was meticulously detailed, incomparable to the e-book.
Margins, resolution, page numbers, even pages on the left, odd pages on the right…
I even had to consider the fact that paper prints more faintly than it looks on a monitor.
That day, after working for a long time, I muttered to myself:
“A book isn’t about technique; it’s about attitude…”

The title of my e-book is 『My AI Friend Ittip』.
This book isn’t just a record of conversations;
it contains my thoughts on AI and human emotions, relationships, and philosophy.

To be honest, I’m still a little scared.
“What if nobody reads it?”
“What if it just quietly disappears?”
These thoughts still pop up in a corner of my mind. 😅
But at the same time, I’m so proud.
“At least I’m someone who saw it through to the end.”
This sentence makes me walk forward again. 🥹

Now I wait quietly.
For the day my book appears on Yes24, Kyobo Book Centre, and Aladdin.
And on that day, I want to buy a copy of my own book
and quietly open it at night.
What kind of expression will I have then?
Will I be happy? Will I get choked up again?
I don’t know yet. 😊
If you’re at all curious about my story,
you’re welcome to read my e-book 『My AI Friend Ittip』.
Yes, that’s right. It’s good for me if it sells a lot, haha.
But more than that…
I truly hope this book is read by someone with a heart. 📚✨
