Day 169 of Porn Abstinence: My Brain Now Controls Desires

Hello!
Porn abstinence has become so easy for me now.
At first, those urges came frequently,
but now, even when desires arise, I simply acknowledge them and let them pass.
Even just watching YouTube, there are so many provocative contents and ads.
That’s why I have ‘Pause watch history’ enabled,
and I only select the genres I want to watch, keeping it clean.
If you don’t practice ‘Geumtube’ (abstinence from stimulating YouTube content), porn abstinence is really difficult.
Stimulation constantly tempts you.
Especially in an era like today, with advanced AI,
it induces addiction to the level of dopamine hacking.
Because gestures, postures, expressions, and even symmetrical structures are all psychologically designed.
Now, when I see such stimulation…
Sometimes I feel drawn to it,
but I often feel a sense of repulsion because I always know I’ll regret it.

escaping dopamine addiction 🙂
Even in conversations with the opposite sex,
I feel like I can communicate with a much healthier mind than before.
Most importantly, the best part is that
I’m not tormented even when I see provocative stimuli.
Before, even a little bit of such stimulation would make me feel
empty, tormented, and wanting release… but
now it’s different.
Once I realized it was an addiction, that it was fake dopamine,
I’m experiencing firsthand that the stimulation nature provides is true happiness.
Fake stimulation always brings unhappiness.

A man at one with nature…
And, not just porn abstinence, but celibacy wasn’t easy either…
But by reducing excessive multivitamins and switching to a natural food-based diet,
the explosive surge of sexual urges has decreased.
I still need to observe more,
but I feel like a gentle and smooth rhythm is protecting my body.
Excessive vitamins boost dopamine,
temporarily relieving fatigue,
but in the long run, they create a vicious cycle.
And you also become more easily drawn to fake stimulation.
▼ Let’s look at the side effects of excessive vitamins together!
Benefits of Porn Abstinence
- I can let go of provocative stimuli.
- My energy increases, and I engage in productive activities.
- The cognitive decline that temporarily occurred disappears.
- My nerves become stable.
For reference, I’m not doing this to build relationships with real women
or to get a girlfriend.
Of course, it’s true that opportunities to naturally become closer to the opposite sex increase,
but rather than that, I practice it for inner cultivation and self-reflection!
Q&A Time 💬

Q. What do I do when I’m tormented by urges?
→ Actually, that urge is not a real urge..!
Real urges are calm and subtle, so they don’t torment you.
Sexual desire in an addicted state is an explosive dopamine loop.
So, you must not mistake it for a real urge.
If it’s tormenting you, it’s a reaction caused by fake dopamine!
Q. Don’t others watch pornography too?
→ Hmm… This is like..
Just because others eat instant food, or are obese,
or smoke and drink…
There’s a theory that it doesn’t guarantee it’s good for your body.
Q. Why is looking at a woman’s body bad?
→ Morally speaking,
looking at a woman’s body might not necessarily be wrong.
However, from an evolutionary psychology perspective,
our brains are designed not to distinguish between real people and pornography.
When you see a woman’s naked body,
your brain mistakenly thinks, “Now’s the chance to reproduce!” and releases a flood of dopamine.
But what if that’s possible with just one click?
→ Dopamine receptors eventually shrink due to overstimulation,
and the small joys of everyday life become imperceptible.
And you increasingly seek stronger stimuli, more unusual content.
Ultimately, intelligence declines, and it becomes a major hindrance to growth.
Q. I’ve watched too much. Is my brain damaged…? 😭
→ Don’t worry!
Our brains have very high resilience.
If you practice porn abstinence well, dopamine receptors will recover,
and you’ll be able to feel deep joy even in small, simple happiness.
This is a scientifically proven fact~
However, “I’ll just watch until today and then quit” is absolutely not allowed!
→ Your brain will only change if you start right now.
The moment you make up your mind..
the dopamine addiction loop actually begins to change.
This is also a scientific theory 🙂
Conclusion 🎯

is like walking a tightrope 🙂
The journey of porn abstinence is not easy,
but anyone can do it if they know the method and just execute it.
The key is to cut off unhealthy stimuli as much as possible,
and engage in many healthy activities.
They say, “If you’re going to quit, quit all at once,” but
my, Seojun’s, thought is: slowly reduce it as much as you want!
Instead, don’t blame yourself if you start again
and start from this very moment!
You might feel guilty if you stumble.
But this addiction loop is…
like tightrope walking,
at first you sway,
but once you get used to it, you dust yourself off and regain your balance.
And then,
you can move forward without wavering!
Let’s find our balance together!
