Creating Hangul images with GPT: Adding fonts is what truly completes your vibe
Today’s Topic – Can AI capture emotion?
AI image generation is incredibly popular these days. With just a few words, you can instantly create emotional illustrations or detailed landscapes. However, I always felt something was missing: the fact that ‘our language’, or Hangul, wasn’t included in those artistic images.
At first, I didn’t know why. I just thought AI wasn’t ready for Hangul yet. But as I experimented and tried different things, I realized something for sure.
“AI needs to learn fonts, too.”
That’s when it started. I began teaching Hangul to GPT-based image generators. More accurately, I started looking for ways to apply ‘Hangul fonts.’

Why is Hangul not expressed well in GPT images? Midjourney, DALL·E, Leonardo.ai, Playground… these are the most popular AI image generation tools today. Most of them are optimized for English text.
What happens when you input Hangul? The characters break or appear as meaningless symbols.
The reason is simple.
“AI doesn’t know the typefaces we want.”
The beautiful handwriting, emotional calligraphy, and soft, warm Hangul fonts we see… these aren’t things AI can just pull up on its own. That’s why we have to provide them ourselves!

So what should we do? Applying fonts to auto-generated images
I’ve been creating Hangul images by combining GPT and fonts. And the most important thing I realized was just one thing.
‘With just a font, you can use Hangul however you want.’
To naturally blend Hangul into images created with GPT, you need a few simple steps.
- Download emotional fonts → Download from free sites like ‘Noonnu’
- Request an image from GPT while providing the font
- Expect great results!
This way, you can create images where your desired vibe and Hangul are in perfect harmony.

Recommended Hangul Fonts & Usage Tips
| Font Name | Vibe | Commercial Use |
|---|---|---|
| Nanum Handwriting | Warm and diary-like | Available |
| Baemin Font | Cute and comfortable | Available |
| Sandoll Font | Can express various moods | Some paid |
| Arita Font | Modern and smooth | Available |
| Noonnu (noonnu.kr) | Collection of various free fonts | Check license before use |
Important note:
If using commercially, be sure to check the license!
Since emotional images can be used for monetization, it’s important to use them safely.

The combination I actually used (Shinbi Days’ AI emotional combo)
- GPT-4 (Generating copywriting phrases)
- Noonnu (Download Hangul font / Provide to GPT)
- Illustrator or Photoshop (Final image editing)
In a single image created with this combination,
the emotions, thoughts, and direction I felt began to be captured.
It’s not just a pretty picture anymore;
I’ve become able to deliver a message that contains my identity and energy.

Why does even a single font carry so much heart?
Writing itself contains energy. Bold text conveys confidence, thin text conveys a delicate heart,
and rounded text conveys warmth.
And no matter how smart AI is,
it can’t express those emotions 100%. That’s why we need to dress the image in the emotional clothing of a “font”
to make it ‘reach people’s hearts.’

Wrapping up: Shall we start creating images with your own emotional GPT?
Have you ever tried to make an image with AI but,
gave up because the Hangul didn’t turn out right?
If so, starting today,
try preparing a Hangul font first to add that emotional touch.
If you download a font as we learned today,
request an image with GPT,
and finish it off with some editing…
It’s not just simple image generation anymore;
‘your own content’ begins to take shape.
Today’s line of affirmation
“I create harmony by adding emotion to technology.”
Thank you so much for reading.
