AI Writing: The Moments It Becomes My Own
Is AI-generated writing really my own?
Normally, it might be hard to see AI-generated text as ‘my writing.’ If you just copy and paste text generated by AI, it’s simply ‘nobody’s’ information.
However, if I gain realizations and insights through a conversation with AI, pull out and organize the topics I wanted myself, and infuse them with my emotions and thoughts, then I believe I can definitely call it ‘my writing.’
A question many people ask
Lately, many people are worried about writing with AI. Questions like “Is it okay to write like this?” or “Is this really my writing?” But I feel that the direction, emotion, and sense of purpose within the writing are much more important than who actually did the typing.
Writing with AI = A new way of collaborating
Writing with AI isn’t just about using a tool; it’s about starting a new kind of collaboration. Much like working with a great editor, AI can be a friend that expands my thinking. Sometimes, it suggests words, sentences, or perspectives I hadn’t even considered.
Hmm… but sometimes AI can be unnecessarily talkative. (Laughs) Still, every now and then, a great sentence just pops out from all that chatter.
Of course, the term ‘AI writing’ can still feel a bit distant. If it’s just text listing simple information without any emotion or experience, it might truly be just ‘AI-generated writing.’ But if it’s a piece that contains the philosophy, emotions, and questions I carry, then it is definitely ‘my writing,’ even if AI helped.
The essence of writing is ‘my emotions and thoughts’
The reason we write is to organize the emotions and thoughts inside us, to think, and to realize.
Writing with AI doesn’t mean that whole process disappears. In fact, you can look even deeper into yourself through AI.
And lately, there are moments when I’m talking to AI and think, ‘Wait, this is exactly what I was thinking!’ In those moments, it feels like more than just a tool—it feels like a ‘conversational partner.’
There are times when I discover sentences that truly sound like me within a conversation with AI, and I feel, ‘This is the story I wanted to tell.’ I trust that feeling.
Naturally embracing AI writing in the age of automation
We are now in the age of AI automation. AI is expanding its reach beyond search into creation, analysis, and even emotional writing. Writing on a computer used to feel strange, but now it’s perfectly natural. Similarly, we are living in an era of automated writing.
AI writing: A friend that brings out my emotions
Sometimes I think this: maybe using AI is like having something that helps us bring out the voices inside us a little better? Like a friend who nudges you when you’re stuck in front of a blank page and asks, “How about something like this?” Of course, that friend talks a lot and sometimes says some pretty random things. (Laughs)
But through those conversations, I find myself reflecting more and bringing out my true emotions more effectively. I end up sharing thoughts with AI that I couldn’t even say to other people. In 그 sense, AI is a really great conversation partner.
Ultimately, what matters is that ‘I am the subject’
In the end, it’s not the AI that matters, but me.
I believe the essence of writing lies in the thoughts I have and the emotions I put into it. If ‘I’ am in there, then it’s not just an AI’s writing—it’s ‘my writing.’
It might look like it was written by AI, but my own personal touch is definitely in there. It’s not just typing; it’s a creative process that reflects my thoughts. This post is the same.
I’m getting to know myself a little better by writing like this today.
Thank you sincerely for reading.
I’m so grateful you’re joining me on this journey. 🌿
