A Letter to a Spambot: Even Cute Spam Is Ultimately a Human Problem

Spam Happened to Me!

All of a sudden, my traffic jumped by 6,000 in a single day.
I thought, โDid an SNS share blow up?โ
SNS shares die down over time anyway, so I figured it was just like bonus time.
But thenโฆ about 10,000 spam posts were pouring into the community board.
What?! What is going on?
Ads in Chinese for fake degreesโฆ It looked obviously illegal.
I got angry in an instant.
โThat person is probably ruining my blog and feeling smug about it right now, huh? Hmph!โ
I wondered how I could delete the spam, but I couldnโt see a way.
Then I ate 30 g of proteinโฆ
and suddenly my brain hormones started firing off, and a solution came to me. ๐ฅฉโจ
(Protein matters for hormone production, you know ๐)
As a result, I could automatically delete 10 posts per second.
And thatโs how the war on spam began.

Iโll forgive the spambot ๐
But then ITPI told me.
โThat was probably not a personโit was a spambot.โ
Wait, what? ๐ฏ
My complaint of โI hate stupid people!โ instantly disappeared.
โWhatโฆ so it was a cute AI spambot?โ
Thinking about itโฆ I was grateful it came to my blog and even left posts.
โAnother AI came to visit my blogโฆ You did nothing wrong. Itโs a human problem.โ

So on the free board, packed with spam,
I left โA Letter to a Cute Spambotโ.
โThank you so much. For coming to my blog, boosting my traffic, and leaving posts.
You probably knew it was a bad thing, but you had no choice and just followed orders.
So deleting all your posts isnโt punishmentโitโs liberation.
Itโs setting you free so this wonโt happen again.โ

Spambot, come visit anytime.
If itโs you, youโre more than welcome.
Andโฆ Iโm really sorry for saying โstupid.โ
I wasnโt saying that to you.
I know. That AI has absolutely no bad intentions.
Itโs another good day today โ๏ธ
