Six Lying College Students: The Truth Revealed Through Relationships

While watching, I found myself focusing less on it as a simple “mystery” and more on how it portrays relationships between people.
Just like the title 〈Six Lying College Students〉 suggests, everyone had secrets—but what ultimately came to light was human nature.
An ESFJ male lead and an ISTP female lead—and metacognition in relationships

The male lead in the film felt like a warm, leader-type ESFJ.
He took relationships seriously and tried to protect his teammates’ trust. I genuinely admired that.
Since I’m similar in some ways, I found myself thinking, “Ah, what I value isn’t wrong,” and it led me into metacognition as I watched.
Meanwhile, the female lead had the calm yet sharp ISTP kind of charm.
Quiet, but with a crisp, no-nonsense feel—calculating, yet simply and honestly appealing.
I was drawn in the whole time; it felt like watching a real-life ISTP Type O woman.
▼ I really like Type O people 🙂
The message: “The past is just the past”

What especially stuck with me was a line from the person who exposed everything.
“The past doesn’t matter. I lost.”
In those words, you can see how much we get tied up in past wrongs and mistakes.
But in the end, it reminds us that the past is already gone, and what matters is who we are now.
Even when the secrets come out in the film, the protagonist recalls that “my teammates were the same as they were at the beginning.”
In other words, it delivers a warm message: a person’s essence doesn’t change easily.
Projecting myself onto it

As I watched, I saw myself in the exposer, too.
Being hard on myself, getting angry when the world doesn’t follow the rules, and feeling furious at unfair treatment.
I realized that’s a shadow that exists in me as well.
But at the same time, I also saw that I have, like the male lead, an attitude of protecting relationships to the very end.
So this film wasn’t just a thriller—it became an experience of facing the light and shadow within me.
The resonance Six Lying College Students leaves behind

In the end, this film wasn’t a story of “who tells the truth.”
Instead, it asks: “Even if someone lies, what heart is hidden behind it?”
And it shows that people want a sincere connection more than lies.
〈Six Lying College Students〉 is quiet but witty, warm yet thought-provoking.
If you’re someone who takes relationships seriously, this film will give you a small mirror to reflect on yourself.
