노력의 천재 록리 – 엘리트가 인정한 천재 중의 천재

I admire effort-driven geniuses like Rock Lee.
Not genius given at birth,
but genius forged through endless practice and training.
If… this person became my enemy,
(though that would never happen)
😆😆as a super elite myself (readers: What?!)
the very existence would be terrifying.
In the manga Naruto I watched before,
the character Rock Lee gave me tremendous inspiration.
Each scene resonated deeply with me,
and I felt an indescribable energy from that character.
Rock Lee’s Ninja Story

Rock Lee is a ninja with physical limitations.
A body that can only use taijutsu.
Unable to use even the basic ninjutsu and genjutsu that define a ninja,
he is someone who overcame everything with taijutsu alone.
He was a “talentless ninja.”
But he pushed that one skill, taijutsu, to its absolute limit,
eventually opening five of the Eight Gates and becoming a formidable warrior.
At this moment, the genius elite Kakashi says:
“That kid… that’s not something you can achieve through effort alone… Is he actually a genius!?”

At first, no one believed he could become a ninja.
But now, he has become stronger and more brilliant than anyone.
Even Sasuke, who possesses the Sharingan that can see through opponents’ techniques,
could read Rock Lee’s movements but couldn’t react to them.
And so, in the Chunin Exams,
he faced off against a monstrous child
who would later become the Kazekage of a nation: Gaara.
Rock Lee thought to himself:
“I beat everyone else—I can’t be the only one who loses.”
Using the Fifth Gate Release taught to him by Guy-sensei,
he overwhelmingly pushed back that monstrous opponent.

Gaara was, in fact, a child born with the One-Tail (Shukaku) sealed within him,
and Rock Lee ultimately didn’t win the match…
But the important thing was, it wasn’t about winning or losing.
The ‘Fifth Gate Release’
is a technique that pushes one’s body to the extreme, unleashing explosive combat power in an instant.
However, this technique leaves devastating damage to the body.
If all Eight Gates are opened,
one gains power surpassing even the Hokage,
but there’s a legend that the user dies.
Rock Lee knew this,
but to uphold his ninja way, he threw his body into the fight.
That courage is truly remarkable.

Afterward, Rock Lee underwent surgery with a 50% survival rate,
and his teacher and spiritual mentor,
Guy-sensei, who had been watching over him, said:
“If there’s a one-in-a-million chance you die, then I’ll die with you.”
And he also said:
“That kid will become a far greater ninja than me someday.”
Those words still remain deep in my heart.
Someone Who Resembles Rock Lee

Actually,
I know someone around me who is just like Rock Lee.
Not a man,
but whenever I see her, I’m strangely reminded of Rock Lee’s shadow.
She is someone I truly think is remarkable.
Yet she always
says she’s not good enough.
While living more solidly than anyone else my age,
she always humbly keeps herself grounded,
and continues to put in deeper effort than anyone.
She is
someone whose actions come before thoughts.
She doesn’t come up with brilliant ideas
or show off clever insights,
but she always quietly executes,
and seems to enjoy it.

Rock Lee once
confessed his inner feelings: “I might not be able to do it… I’m scared…”
But when I see her,
I’m reminded anew of what it means to have the power to act beyond such emotions.
Sometimes, when I look at her, I think:
“How can he keep moving without a break like that?”
And without realizing it, I change.
Watching her,
‘I need to move too,’
and so I quietly take one step forward.
She’s much younger than me,
but she’s already set her life’s direction clearly and is moving forward.
And that path is very long and deep.
Watching Rock Lee’s story from the Hidden Leaf Village…

You can definitely surpass it!
Effort is slow, but it’s the strongest force.
There are geniuses in this world who go unnoticed.
And…
there are geniuses of effort that even natural geniuses acknowledge.
And as a natural-born genius myself (..?)😊😊
today, and tomorrow,
I think of that righteous,
yet truly terrifying if he became an enemy…
genius of hard work, Rock Lee.
