Today, I want to share my experience of switching monitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few months ago, I upgraded to a brand-new laptop!
The CPU and GPU were so good\u2014it was the kind of laptop that could run basically any game.
I bought it for logo design and coding, but honestly, I was also secretly excited about VR games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I actually connected VR to the laptop and played, it felt incredibly vivid and lifelike.
But since a laptop screen is small, you usually connect it to an external monitor, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one I\u2019d been using supported FHD at 1920\u00d71080.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My laptop was new, but my monitor was old, so I\u2019d been using it with a blurry-looking screen.
I just thought, \u201cWell, it\u2019s a bigger screen, so of course it\u2019ll look a bit blurry,\u201d
but one day I suddenly felt like buying a new monitor. Haha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\uded2 A QHD monitor\u2014snagged on a 24-month installment plan!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So I bought a QHD monitor\u2014one step up from FHD\u2014on a 24-month installment plan.
It\u2019s 32 inches, and it cost around 340,000 KRW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I remember buying my old FHD monitor for 300,000 KRW,
so I guess electronics keep getting cheaper for the performance you get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That crisp, clear, gorgeous, vibrant image I\u2019d only seen on my laptop screen

and I\u2019ve been using an old monitor this whole time\u2026\u201d
I realized I\u2019d been pretty simple-minded about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screen is seriously amazing!
I often use screenshots when posting blog articles,
and with higher resolution, the images come out so much better\u2026!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf10 Tip! I recommend 125% browser zoom <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since the resolution is so high, here\u2019s my tip: I use my browser at 125% zoom.
If things look too small, you can hold Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel to adjust the zoom.
I\u2019m so satisfied. I\u2019m also excited to watch 4K movies from now on, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and especially because I can play ‘Kingdom Come: Deliverance’<\/em>
in QHD (2K) resolution\u2014I\u2019m genuinely excited all over again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd27 Easy assembly, but the screwdriver is separate!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Most of all, assembly was incredibly simple.
You just tighten six screws and you\u2019re done!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it doesn\u2019t come with a screwdriver,
so you\u2019ll need your own small screwdriver for the screws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some Coupang reviews said the design wasn\u2019t great,
but I was really satisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ‘gawfolk’ logo engraved in the center and
the subtle, premium-looking black bezel both looked great to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd0c Connecting it is easy, too<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s nothing extra to install,
and it\u2019s simple\u2014just plug in the included DP or HDMI cable from the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DP is mainly used to connect to a desktop PC,
and many people still say it\u2019s better than HDMI in terms of image quality and speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, HDMI isn\u2019t bad at all\u2014
it supports up to 2K and 4K, so it\u2019s totally fine to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for connecting to a laptop, HDMI is probably the most compatible option!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once I connected everything,
the screen just popped on\u2014instantly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It really felt like FHD and QHD are from different generations.
It was like the world that used to look hazy

And the fact that it\u2019s curved was also a huge plus.
Because the screen curves slightly, the edges naturally fall into your view,
and it feels easier to stay focused!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s especially useful when watching movies
or working with something spread out like Excel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udde1 Specs: 32-inch QHD + 180Hz!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The one I bought is a
32-inch ultra-wide curved gaming monitor<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and it supports QHD (2K) resolution plus a 180Hz high refresh rate<\/strong>.
Which means\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfae Almost no ghosting in games + smooth motion!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019ll feel like a whole new world when playing games like Elden Ring<\/em> or Kingdom Come: Deliverance<\/em>.
Especially in action scenes, people say it looks incredibly vivid and the immersion is unreal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, and after trying it, my laptop applies up to 144Hz at 2560×1440 (QHD).
Still, anything over 120Hz already feels very satisfying!
144Hz feels like a little bonus\u2026?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These days, design matters just as much as features,
