What a gift to find something like that right at the start of the trip. <\/p>\n\n<p>The thump-thump of the drums, the gentle melodies of the violin and cello, and even the warm tone of a wind instrument I don\u2019t even know the name of\u2026 I still can\u2019t forget the moment when all those different instruments blended in perfect harmony.<\/p>\n\n<p>What stood out most was <strong>the conductor dressed as a pierrot<\/strong>. When he smiled slightly, it felt a bit awkward yet delightful\u2014and it brightened my mood, too. <\/p>\n\n<p>After the performance, they said there would be another one around 4 p.m. at a different location, but I kept moving as planned so I could head to Hanbat Arboretum.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\ude87 Taking the Subway to the Arboretum<\/h2>\n\n<p>The subway was cool, though I think it was more about the actual temperature than the vibe. Unlike the urban image you might associate with \u201cDaejeon,\u201d the forest spread across that wide space felt like nature drawn in bold strokes on a blank white canvas. <\/p>\n\n<p>Every step felt healing, and each time I paused, I could feel my mind settling down.<\/p>\n\n<p>There was also a section where you could walk barefoot along a \ud669\ud1a0 path. Since I usually like grounding (earthing), it was hard to just pass by. One sweet, refreshing sip cooled my whole body. <\/p>\n\n<p>Inside the arboretum, there was an artificial lake and artworks on display by artists. One of them is still vividly etched in my memory. <\/p>\n\n<p>It was a massive sculpture with no body below the chest\u2014standing while supporting itself on the ground only with its arms. Its gaze was fixed far into the distance. It felt like peace found in the middle of a crisis, and also like peace that comes after hardship. But the explanations were lacking, which was a bit disappointing.<\/p>\n\n<p>What I realized in the process was that I definitely like sculpture more than painting. The vivid energy you get from three-dimensional forms seems to suit me better. Maybe that\u2019s why even my hobbies tend to chase that sense of depth, like virtual reality.  <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfde\ufe0f The Charm of Hanbat Arboretum<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Orchestra-Pierrot-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Orchestra-Pierrot-1.webp 800w, https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Orchestra-Pierrot-1-300x200.webp 300w, https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Orchestra-Pierrot-1-768x512.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">I tried creating the pierrot and the musicians with AI.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>The biggest strength of Hanbat Arboretum was that it\u2019s a \u201cmulti-cultural complex.\u201d It\u2019s not just an arboretum\u2014nearby you also have <strong>a museum, art hall, caf\u00e9s, and kids\u2019 play facilities<\/strong> all in one area, so you can easily enjoy a full day there. <\/p>\n\n<p>I think it\u2019s a real blessing to have such a relaxed, diverse space right in the middle of the city. That\u2019s why I can confidently recommend this place to anyone. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf56 Bonus Review \u2013 All-You-Can-Eat BBQ &amp; Accommodation<\/h2>\n\n<p>If you take the bus a little farther from Hanbat Arboretum, there\u2019s an all-you-can-eat BBQ place. The price was in the 20,000 won range, and the meat was better than I expected. Since it\u2019s buffet-style, you can freely grab whatever you want, so I really enjoyed the meal. (I can\u2019t quite remember the name of the place, but if you leave a comment, I\u2019ll look it up and share it!)   <\/p>\n\n<p>For my stay, I chose a <strong>residence hotel<\/strong>, and it felt fresh since it was my first time at one. It had a spacious studio-apartment vibe and was well maintained, with a front-loading washer and a temperature control system. There was also a microwave on the second floor that you could use freely, and above all, the bed sheets were so soft that I slept really well.  <\/p>\n\n<p>One thing to know: if you order delivery, you have to pick it up yourself on the first floor. Still, management was thorough, so the hotel interior was very quiet and clean. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf3f Closing<\/h2>\n\n<p>What I\u2019ll remember most from this trip is that <strong>I was able to experience nature, art, and healing all at once\u2014right in the middle of the city<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>If you\u2019re planning a trip to Daejeon, I really recommend stopping by Hanbat Arboretum.
