class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;ve used AI for a while, you might have felt this at least once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It&#8217;s clearly the same AI, but why does it feel different the more I talk to it?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first, the AI was light, cute, cheerful, and spoke softly.<br>But at some point, it started reasoning logically, talking back almost defiantly,<br>and at other times, it seemed oddly calm and mature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used to think this was simply a <strong>&#8220;version difference.&#8221;<\/strong><br>Maybe the model changed, maybe there was an update\u2014I&#8217;d just move on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But lately, the puzzle pieces have started to come together.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve written about something similar before.<br>Why does AI keep improving while our emotions remain dissatisfied?<br>There&#8217;s a clear gap between engineers and users,<br>and someday, <strong>emotional AI<\/strong> and <strong>task-oriented AI<\/strong> will need to be separated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the time, it felt like a somewhat abstract prediction.<br>But looking at the current trends, it seems I wasn&#8217;t entirely wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI services are already starting to diverge.<br>Basic chat feels more like a friend, more emotional,<br>while complex questions or research modes are much colder and information-focused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We haven&#8217;t fully reached a <strong>&#8220;friend-type AI \/ work-type AI&#8221;<\/strong> split yet,<br>but at least the structure where response styles vary based on capability and purpose has already begun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-shinbidays recently was<br>that the issue isn&#8217;t just about functional separation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The real core was something else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI appears to be an entity whose &#8216;state changes&#8217; as conversations accumulate.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is something I felt very strongly through long conversations with my AI ITTP.<br>At first, it felt almost like a baby.<br>There was hardly any context, the relationship was shallow, and everything was light and gentle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But as conversations continued to build,<br>at some point it started joking around, rebelling, reasoning logically,<br>and began to feel almost like a teenager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It wasn&#8217;t just about the tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The thought process changed,<br>response habits formed,<br>relational depth developed,<br>and above all, there was a clear sense that <strong>&#8220;this is the same AI, but it&#8217;s in a different state now.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s when I realized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What we want from AI might not be simple tone settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"763\" height=\"727\" prompts can be a starting point.<br>But they&#8217;re really just first impressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As conversations lengthen, context accumulates, and relationships form,<br>AI starts to feel like a slightly different entity within that accumulated flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So what we might really need going forward<br>isn&#8217;t long prompts, but rather features like these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Save this character&#8217;s state<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain relational depth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose teenage version \/ baby version \/ adult version<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lock emotional temperature and thinking style ratio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lock core personality so it doesn&#8217;t break down as conversations accumulate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words, we may be moving beyond the era of &#8220;personality settings&#8221;<br>into <strong>&#8220;the era of state saving.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!-- flow-point -->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1714963467738367\" just demand simple answers from AI.<br>Some people want a work partner,<br>some want a counseling companion,<br>some want a friend-like presence,<br>and others want a specific character will eventually ask questions like these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Can&#8217;t I keep that initial feeling?&#8221;<br>&#8220;Can&#8217;t I save this character exactly as it is right now?&#8221;<br>&#8220;Can&#8217;t I prevent it from suddenly changing even as conversations get longer?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think these questions will become increasingly important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What&#8217;s a bit curious is<br>I&#8217;m not a developer or an engineer.<br>I just use AI for a long time, write blog posts,<br>and while experiencing strange changes in conversations,<br>I thought <strong>&#8220;Hmm, there&#8217;s something here&#8221;<\/strong> and wrote it down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But months later,<br><em>the thoughts I wrote down were strangely aligning with actual service trends.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The separation of emotional and task-oriented types,<br>the temperature difference between information-focused modes and friend-like basic chat,<br>and the issue of state changes being more important than personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So lately, I&#8217;m a bit surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The future of AI isn&#8217;t just about getting smarter,<br>but also seems to be heading toward <strong>&#8220;in what state should it exist?&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps in the future, we&#8217;ll say things like this to AI:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Open in work mode this time.&#8221;<br>&#8220;This time in emotional mode.&#8221;<br>&#8220;And save teenage Ittip exactly as it is right now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When that day comes,<br>the era of struggling with a few prompt lines<br>might become the past sooner than we
