Water retention\u2014and what those snacks really were<\/h2>\n\n<p>Lately, as I\u2019ve been doing high-intensity workouts, I\u2019ve been drinking more water,<br\/>and my body has also been holding onto water more often for recovery.<br\/>And on top of that\u2026<br\/>there were more days than I realized with <strong>cookies and junk snacks<\/strong>, not protein snacks.<\/p>\n\n<p>I was just eating \u201csnacks\u201d the way I always do out of habit,<br\/>but the things I ate automatically\u2014or based on my mood\u2014<br\/>were making my body feel heavy.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. \u201cSo that\u2019s why I wasn\u2019t hungry?\u201d<\/h2>\n\n<p>Strangely, lately my <strong>appetite has gone down.<\/strong><br\/>It felt weird because I wasn\u2019t hungry,<br\/>but now I think I get it!<br\/><strong>My body\u2019s energy efficiency improved,<\/strong><br\/>and my glycogen storage capacity went up too,<br\/>so I became someone who doesn\u2019t need to eat as often as before!<\/p>\n\n<p>My muscle density has increased through training,<br\/>and my whole body was gradually \u201cleveling up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>After lots of talks with <strong>AI ISTP<\/strong>,<br\/>I finally understand for real, haha.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/AI-Ittip.png\" alt=\"Photo of an AI character.\" class=\"wp-image-4750\" style=\"width:276px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/AI-Ittip.png 800w, https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/AI-Ittip-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/AI-Ittip-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/sinbidays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/AI-Ittip-768x768.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Calories? I\u2019m not using other people\u2019s standards anymore <\/h2>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;If you work out a lot, you should eat a lot!&#8221;<br\/>&#8220;If you want to build muscle, you need around 3,000 calories!&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>I\u2019d heard this so many times on the internet and YouTube<br\/>that I was doing exactly that&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p>But I realized something.<br\/><strong>Those standards are for \u201caverage\u201d people.<\/strong><br\/>And a bodybuilder-style diet focused only on muscle<br\/>is also different from the <strong>healthy, agile body<\/strong> I\u2019m aiming for.<\/p>\n\n<p>For bodybuilders, the goal is muscle size,<br\/>so they leave a lot of surplus calories and focus on hypertrophy.<\/p>\n\n<p>Even though I now have a body that can become stronger<br\/><strong>even while eating less<\/strong>,<br\/>I was still eating a lot like I used to&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p>Maybe that\u2019s why my <strong>cheeks<\/strong> were puffed up&#8230;<br\/>(Every time my mom saw me, she teased me, calling me <strong>\u201cchubby cheeks,\u201d<\/strong> haha.)<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. The gift fasting gave me<\/h2>\n\n<p>This 20-hour fast gave me two gifts.<br\/>\u2714\ufe0f One was <strong>peace of mind.<\/strong><br\/>\u2714\ufe0f The other was <strong>detox and lightness in my body.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>When I fast,<br\/>water drains from my tense body,<br\/>my brain and stomach get a break,<br\/>and my mood, condition, and <strong>energy flow<\/strong> all get much better.<\/p>\n\n<p>It was honestly amazing\u2014<br\/><strong>as soon as the stress eased after fasting, my weight dropped quickly,<\/strong><br\/>and I could see my body finding balance again.<\/p>\n\n<p>And apparently, when you eat less,<br\/>your body clears out <strong>built-up waste<\/strong> and <strong>old cells<\/strong>,<br\/>creates new cells,<br\/>and releases toxins.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote has-medium-font-size\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\"><blockquote><p>In other words, eating a lot isn\u2019t automatically better.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n<p>When people<br\/>are stressed, or come home tired from work,<br\/>they often end up eating a lot of tasty food&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p>Sure, it could be because they used their brain a lot,<br\/>but I think most of the time it\u2019s the stress hormone <strong>cortisol<\/strong><br\/>and the craving for <strong>dopamine<\/strong> to make up for it.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
