They say 2025 is the Samjae year for those born in the Year of the Pig\u2026But I call it ‘the Year of Growth.’<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n

People say that 2025 is the Samjae year for me, as I was born in the Year of the Pig. I often see advice like, \u201cBe careful,\u201d and \u201cDon’t overdo it,\u201d online. <\/p>\n\n

However, even after hearing this, I didn’t feel that way. Instead, a quiet, opposing voice echoed in my mind. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cNow is the time to make myself stronger.\u201d\u201cSuffering inevitably brings immense growth.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Is Samjae really a bad period?<\/h2>\n\n

Samjae is actually a good period.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n

Samjae is often said to be a year filled with hardships and prone to accidents. But I see it differently. I feel that Samjae is not simply a year of bad luck, but a period of trials for significant life growth<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Of course, I’m not saying there won’t be difficulties. But I want to use this time to learn how to overcome pain<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

If you endure the pain, good things will surely come. Great peace, a very quiet realization, and growth.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

So, I won’t try to avoid this year; instead, I intend to face this period head-on.<\/p>\n\n

I want to call it a year for accelerating growth, a year to put in a little more effort than usual.<\/p>\n\n

So, here are the things I want to achieve this year:<\/h2>\n\n

To make this period a time of growth<\/strong>, I, born in the Year of the Pig, have set the following goals:<\/p>\n\n

  • Achieve over 460kg in the three main lifts<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Successfully perform one-arm pull-ups + wearing a 7.5-10kg weighted vest<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Maintain a high-energy physical and mental state<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Successfully perform dragon flags + with 5kg ankle weights attached<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Record a grip strength of over 85kg in one attempt<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • One-arm handstand push-ups<\/strong> (successfully without feet touching)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    These goals aren’t just set for the sake of records. They are my own way of enduring pain<\/strong> and a discipline to strengthen myself during Samjae<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    People often say, \u201cThings will get better once Samjae passes.\u201d But I have a different perspective. <\/p>\n\n

    I believe that things improve not because Samjae ends, but because I’ve become stronger by going through it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    So, today, I train.My body, my mind, myself!<\/p>\n\n

    In other words, I see Samjae as a time for us to grow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    It’s okay if it’s a little tough. If we overcome this period, we will surely become stronger and more resilient than before. <\/p>\n\n

    And after that time passes,I want to quietly smile and say this:<\/p>\n\n

    \u201cSamjae? I\u2026 really grew a lot during that time.\u201d\u201cBecause of Samjae, I reached my goals faster.\u201d\u201cSamjae is a year of growth.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n
